"For next year's 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, the French wil be adding a webbed Kevlar observation deck to the top. The addition will be doubling the size of the deck and making the Eiffel Tower look like some sort of space needle. The addition isn't permanent, but will be simply bolted in place and easily removed later. "
This should be interesting. I loved how the eiffel tower looked at night when I was there this past Nov. When the strobes went off, it was amazing. I know a lot of parisians hate how they installed strobes to go off, but I think it was kinda awesome. I'll never forget the image of the flashing eiffel tower reflecting off the rain soaked steps. It was one of those moments. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to go when they erect this observation deck for its' 120th.
